The objective of this initiative is to improve emergency, important care and maternal and child health services in Delhi. The five-hospital infrastructure project is designed to expand the capacity of the hospital and introduce advanced medical facilities across the city.
The main addition is the newly established trauma block at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Maingolpuri, named Sant Shri Darbal Nath Ji Trauma Block. It introduces a dedicated emergency department and a fully equipped intensive care unit (ICU) to provide round-the-lock critical care services.
In Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, Raghubir Nagar, a new input department (IPD) block has been developed, with advanced newborn care units as well as motherhood and pediatric wards, with important services for mothers and newborns.
Strengthening maternal and child healthcare, a mother and child block is inaugurated at Shri Dada Dev Matri Avam Sheshu Chikitsala, Dabri Mode, Dwarka. This new feature includes modern neonatal care units and better maternity and pediatric services, with focus on reducing infant and maternal mortality.
In Acharya Shri Monk Hospital, Moti Nagar, a new IPD block has also been installed, which is improving the hospital’s capacity and improving the capacity of the hospital to manage the patient’s influx efficiently. Increase outpatient services and reduce waiting time, a new outpatient department (OPD) block has been launched, Jovan Mahavir Hospital, Potampura. Modern OPD feature is expected to provide more accessible consultation and treatment for a large number of patients traveling daily. In a parallel development, 150 dialysis machines have been installed in six major government hospitals – Burari Hospital, Dr. Kidney care at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Jag Pravesh Chandra Delhi.
Each center is equipped with advanced RO water purification systems and is equipped with employees ensuring safe, timely and high quality dialysis services by qualified nephrologists and trained technicians.
Completing these expansion, 101 new Ayushman Aogya Temple units have also been inaugurated to provide cheap and accessible healthcare under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, further strengthening the primary healthcare distribution in the capital.
