East Coast Railway Records Significant Infrastructure Development In FY 2024-25

New Delhi: East Coast Railway (ECOR) has set a record in railway infrastructure development in the financial year 2024-25, adding a total of 2815 km of new lines and multi-tracking, by adding an impressive 50 percent increase on the achievement of 187.2 km of the previous financial year.

According to ECOR officials, this feat is the result of frequent efforts and dedication.

Parameshwar Phanwal, General Manager of East Coast Railway, appreciated the entire team involved in these projects and said that the construction team has made significant progress in speeding up the quality of infrastructure with regular coordination with state government officials and other stakeholders.

This adequate progress also underlines the ECOR's commitment to increase the railway network of the region, ensure smooth operation and improve transport efficiency for both goods and passenger services. Railways said that the focus of ECOR on construction and modernization not only increases operating efficiency, but also creates new opportunities for trade and industry, which benefits millions of passengers and businesses throughout the region.

281.5 km new lines and multi-tracking added to 2024-25 financial year.

An increase of 50 percent compared to 187.2 km received in the previous financial year (2023-24).

Laksahmipur Road-Singram-Chuniri 22.94 km Korput-Singapur Road (Regada) Dabbling Project, Dentwara-Kamalur section and bachelor-Kirandul section, 40.64 km Kindul-Jagdalpur Project, Dhankanal-Jagalpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurpurial project, The Khurda Road-Balangir railway line project, Budhapanka-Salegaon 3 and 4th Row Project, Khurda Road-Balangir railway line project, Darliput-Girpur, 12.65 km Kothwalas-Kothwalas-Kothawal Dubling Project, Flood (Bandrak) Junction Project. The third line project has already commissioned.

Apart from this, Talcher-Bimlagarh new line, Darliput-Padua (9.77KMS), Karkalas-Smiliguda (9 km) and Suku-Koraaput (11.16KMS) to Kothavalasa-Koraaput-Meram, Hindoling Project, Hindoling Project, Hindoling Project, Hindoling Project, Hindoling Project, Hindoling Project, Hindoling Project, Hindoling Project, Hindoling Project, Project, Hindoling Project-Meram (11.16KMS) (6.53KMS) Budhapanka-Salegaon 3 and 4th Row Project, Baguda-Kakiriguma (12.39 km) of Korput-Singapur Road Dubling (12.39 km), Jarapada-Budhapanka 3 and 4th Line Project, Maanbar-jaarti (9.34 kms) The road-Jajpur Kenjhar Road (11.60 km) of the Talastra-talm road (6.50kms) Bhadrak-Nargundi 3 line project has also been completed.
