Mumbai: Property worth Rs 44 crore belonging to the arrested builder Lalit Tekchandani and Associates has been attached by Ed in a money-laundering case investigation.
The attached properties include a villa in Dubai, residential and commercial properties in Mumbai, land parcels in Pune and fixed deposits. Earlier, Ed had frozen and confiscated an investment of Rs 158 crore in the same case.
Ed will communicate with Dubai officials through legal channels, inform them about the details of the attached villa and request not to allow the sale of the property.
The political link builder faced legal trouble two years ago when house buyers filed complaints of fraud.
