This program is focused Upgrade public charging stations through a design-found-finance-operate-transfer (DBFOT) modelUnder this structure, 63 KSEBL Charging Station Opened to private investment to increase facilities and to streamline operations. The program also includes additional facilities such as cafeteria and toilet to improve the facility at charging locations.

The initiative includes the characteristics designed to increase EV charging accessibility. Advanced infrastructure will include better discovery, standardized charging processes and an app-less payment system, including UPI. The KSEBL is testing an AI-operated system to provide a similar user experience. Real-time data, such as the availability of the station, waiting time and charger gun status, will be integrated into navigation platforms such as Google Maps to support efficient use.

EV users currently require several payment wallets for various chargers. According to an official statement, the purpose of the app-less system is to simplify this process by allowing various payment methods without the need of dedicated applications. The KSEBL is in the process of preparing guidelines for the implementation of this AI-operated system across the state.

'Refresh and Recharge' initiative provides investment opportunities by combining EV charging with business facilities.
