The country will soon look at the development of another Greenfield Airport as the government of Maharashtra focuses on developing an airport at Wadhavan located in Palghar district of western Maharashtra. It has been learned that pre-inflammatory studies of the airport have already begun.
Once completed, the region will have three airports, including Navi Mumbai International Airport and Mumbai International Airport, which greatly increase air connectivity and cargo transport potential in Maharashtra.
The government has planned to integrate the proposed airport with development, which is under the All-Vather Deep Draft Wadhavan Port, aimed at creating a major logistics and trade hub.
