PM Modi to Launch ₹1,140 Crore Infrastructure Projects in Gujarat on October 30, ETInfra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on October 30 and 31, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several infrastructure and development projects worth over ₹1,140 crore in Ekta Nagar. This visit will also include his participation in the National Unity Day celebrations organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Infrastructure boost around Statue of Unity

On October 30, the Prime Minister will be at Ekta Nagar, Kevadiya, where he will flag off a fleet of electric buses at around 5:15 pm and later, at 6:30 pm, will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects aimed at improving connectivity, mobility and tourism infrastructure in the area around the Statue of Unity. The projects to be inaugurated include Birsa Munda Tribal University at Rajpipla, first phase of hospitality district at Garudeshwar, Vaman Vriksha Vatika. Satpura security wall, an e-bus charging depot with 25 electric buses, Narmada Ghat extension, Kaushalya Path and the second phase of the walkway from Ekta Dwar to Shrestha Bharat Bhawan. Smart bus stop (Phase-2), a dam replica fountain, and GSEC residential quarters are also part of the completed works.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for upcoming projects, including the Museum of Royal Entities of India, Veer Balak Udyan, a sports complex, a rainforest project, jetty development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat and travelators at the Statue of Unity. These initiatives aim to expand tourism potential, increase accessibility and promote sustainable mobility in and around Ekta Nagar.

National Unity Day Program

On October 31, the Prime Minister will attend the National Unity Day celebrations at the Statue of Unity, where he will pay a floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, administer the Unity Pledge and watch the Unity Day Parade.

The parade will include contingents of Central Armed Police Forces and State Police units as well as cultural performances and tableaux from across India on the theme of “Unity in Diversity”.

Later, Modi will interact with the officer trainees of the 100th Foundation Course at the conclusion of Aarambh 7.0 organized on the theme “Reimagining Governance”. The course involves 660 officer trainees from 16 Indian civil services and three from Bhutan.
