Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Chhattisgarh on November 1, 2025, to participate in the Chhattisgarh Silver Mahotsav to commemorate 25 years of the formation of the state. During his visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of infrastructure projects worth ₹14,260 crore.
In this, he will lay the foundation stone of a four-lane greenfield highway from Pathalgaon-Kunkuri to Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border under the Bharatmala project. The ₹3,150 crore corridor will connect coal mines, industrial areas and steel plants in Korba, Raigarh, Jashpur, Ranchi and Jamshedpur.
The Prime Minister will also begin work on NH-130D (Narayanpur-Kasturmetta-Kutul-Nilangur-Maharashtra border) and inaugurate the upgraded NH-130C (Madangmuda-Deobhog-Odisha border), aimed at improving access and trade routes in tribal and interior areas.
In the power sector, Modi will inaugurate the inter-regional East-West Interconnection project to increase power transfer capacity between the two grids by 1,600 MW. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of additional power projects worth over ₹3,750 crore, including nine new substations built at a cost of ₹480 crore, which will benefit over 15 lakh people.
Under the revamped distribution sector scheme, works worth about ₹1,860 crore will be dedicated to strengthening power lines, transformers and rural networks. The foundation stone for other substations and transmission projects costing ₹1,415 crore will also be laid.
Modi will inaugurate HPCL’s new petroleum oil depot in Raipur, built at a cost of Rs 460 crore with a storage capacity of 54,000 kilolitres. This facility is expected to improve fuel supply in Chhattisgarh and surrounding states while supporting ethanol blending.
He will also dedicate the 489 km long Nagpur-Jharsuguda natural gas pipeline built at a cost of ₹1,950 crore. The pipeline connects 11 districts of Chhattisgarh to the national gas grid and aims to expand access to clean fuel and promote industrial growth.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a pharmaceutical park in two smart industrial areas – Siladehi-Gatwa-Birra in Janjgir-Champa district and Bijletala in Rajnandgaon district – in Sector 22, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
As part of the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav organized to commemorate the completion of 25 years of the state, he will also inaugurate the new building of Chhattisgarh Assembly in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
In the new Assembly complex, which has been designed on the green building concept, the PM will also unveil a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The structure is planned to run entirely on solar power and also include a rainwater harvesting system. On this occasion he will also address a public meeting.
During his visit, Modi will inaugurate the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and the Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum and participate in a ‘Gift of Life’ interaction with children undergoing treatment for congenital heart disease. He will also inaugurate the Brahma Kumaris’ spiritual teaching and meditation center “Shanti Shikhar”.
