The Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will visit Bihar and Odisha on 20 June, where he will inaugurate the foundation stone for many development infrastructure projects with the aim of promoting connectivity, public health and economic development in both states.
Bihar: Railway, Electricity Project, Sewage Treatment Plant
The PM's journey program will start from Siwan in Bihar, where it will kick a series of transformational initiatives. A major attraction with the flag of a new train service on this route, the new Vary -Diaria railway line project priced more than 400 crores will be inaugurated.
Increasing the railway connectivity of North Bihar further, PM Modi will also fly to Vande Bharat Express between Patlaputra and Gorakhpur while working through Muzaffarpur and Bettiah.
The PM will also flag the locomotives constructed at the Marhovara plant, which will fix the Guinea Republic for export. It is an important milestone equipped with the first export locomotive high-power engine, advanced AC propulsion, microprocessor-based control system, ergonomic cab design and regenerative braking technology.
Commitment to the conservation of the Ganges River will be clear with the opening of six sewage treatment plants (STPS) under the NAMAI GANGE project of over 1800 crores, to serve the population of the region.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for water supply, sanitation and STPS projects in various cities of Bihar, which, ensuring clean and safe drinking water for citizens, for an amount of more than 3000 crores.
Power infrastructure in Bihar is also ready to receive a major upgrade with a 500 MW Battery Energe System System (BESS) capacity with Foundation Stone laying. These standalone base units, 20 to 80 MW, will be installed in 15 grid substations, including Muzaffarpur, Motiharari, Bettiah and Siwan.
In addition, PM will release the first installment for more than 53,600 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAU-U) in Bihar and symbolically hand over the key to some beneficiaries, which will complete the “GRIH Administration” (housewife) ceremony for more than 6,600.
Odisha: Rail Connectivity, Green Mobility
The next stop for PM Modi will be Bhubaneswar in Odisha, where he will inaugurate and laie the foundation for several development projects of more than 18,600 crores. These projects are spread in important areas including drinking water, irrigation, agricultural infrastructure, health infrastructure, rural roads and bridges, national highways and a new railway line.
A historic moment for Buddhist district is awaited as the Prime Minister flagged the new train services, which will expand the railway connectivity in the district for the first time.
In a push for clean energy and sustainable transport, PM Modi will flag a modern and environmentally friendly urban dynamics network, flagging 100 electric buses under the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) system.
The PM has also been slated to issue 'Odisha Vision Document'. The document prepared an ambitious and further roadmap for inclusive development around the important years of 2036 (marking the centenary of Odisha as India's first linguistic state) and 2047 (100th year of independence of India), an ambitious and leading roadmap for inclusive development across the state.
As a tribute to the contribution of eminent Odias, PM will launch the 'Barputra Atiya Gram Yojana' initiative. The purpose of this scheme is to convert their birthplace into a living monument, characterizing the museum, interpretation centers, sculptures, libraries, and public places, respecting the rich heritage of Odisha and promoting cultural tourism.
The visit will also include a felicitation ceremony for women recipients in Odisha, which will celebrate more than 16.50 lakhs “Lakh Didis” which symbolize prosperity and self -sufficiency in the state.
