In the news for Punkars, District Collector Jitendra Dudi announced on Wednesday that the land acquisition process for Purandar Airport was continuously moving forward. The district administration has already started the process and is actively in conversation with the farmers. The entire land acquisition is expected to be completed within the next six months by October.
Purandar Airport will be built in seven villages as per the circular of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation and in 2015-16. A total of 2,700 hectares of land will be acquired for the airport.
Doody also shared information during a conversation organized by Pune Srimik Patrakar Sangh. On this occasion, Patrakar Sangh president, Sunit Bhave, and General Secretary, Meenakshi Gurv were present. Regarding Purandar Airport, Doody said, “Guidelines have been issued by the government about the airport, and the construction stages of the airport have been defined accordingly.”
“The phase of land acquisition will be completed by October. Purandar Airport will be built in seven villages of Vanpuri, Ekhatpur, Udchivadi, Kumumarwalan, Munjwadi, Khanwadi, and Purgaon. The state government is serious about the construction of an airport at this place.”
Government's compensation hightest: Doody
In this regard, officials are interacting with farmers in these seven villages. So far, meetings have been held in four villages. After understanding their concerns, detailed information is being provided to the farmers. The compensation amount to be paid for land acquisition has already been announced.
“Therefore, no matter what other proposals are, farmers should not fall for them. Farmers should not sell their land to others under any circumstances. The amount that the government will provide is the highest. The farmers will be paid the most only in the agreed order,” he said.
Maharashtra State Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has already paid the money survey and calculation money. Therefore, the calculation will be done soon. The farmers will be informed before the drone survey for calculations and airports, “Doody also mentioned.
“A department-wise list of pending land acquisition in the district has been prepared, and information about land acquisition is being collected daily,” he explained.
