Fola Mine Complex was one of all the largest mining complexes in Applacia, with millions of tonnes of coal mining annually in the 1990s and 2000s, and at its peak, around 500 workers were appointed. However, in 2011, the Fola Mine Complex was closed due to a consolidation of operations by its then owner, resulting in all mining operations abolished and almost all jobs were damaged. In the next decade, the Fol Mine Complex remained inactive, with limited recurrence activities, and no new business developed or formed jobs.
“Our acquisition of the Fola Mine Complex is the most important acquisition ever in the history of the company, and the Fola represents a significant transition point for the Mine Complex and its nearby communities. As part of the transaction, we acquired about 13,000 acres of land and 107,000 acres of mineral interests, with the right of the real property for a total of 120,000 acres.”
“We have acquired 15 mining permits located in the Fol Mine Complex with an estimated reconsideration obligation of $ 29.3 million, as well as an obligation to manage an additional 21 mining permits on the site to ensure that the entire property has been rehabilitated responsibly. Such an ambitious and influential price creation plan gives us the post to pursue us.
As part of the acquisition, the company acquired two coal royalty contracts with two well capitalized and experienced mining companies that are currently mining in the Fol Mine Complex. Additionally, Appleatcha is located on 1,000 acres in the Fola Mine Complex for the development of a large-scale solar project with a multi-national corporation as Appleatcha has a 25-year solar lease (which includes three 5-year extensions). The solar project is estimated to create more than 200 MW solar energy capacity, which represents one of the largest solar projects manufactured in Appalachia. It is estimated to give solar lease and two coal royalty contracts, as well as other opportunities in development, reconstruct the Fol Mine Complex to the company, release related bonds and permits and provide the necessary funding to unlock its inherent land value.
