Speed up land acquisition for NH & other projects: Collector to officials

Putparthi (Sri Sathya Sai): District Collector TS Chetan has instructed the officials to complete all pending land acquisition processes in different parts of the district faster.

On Thursday, he chaired a review meeting at the Collectorate's Mini Conference Hall, which discussed the progress of land acquisition related to NH -342, NH -716G, national highways and other projects. Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar and other senior officials attended the meeting. During the discussion, the Collector emphasized on immediate area inspection of land allocation proposals and directed Revenue Departmental Officers (RDOS) and Tehsildars to submit the report to the Collector's office as per rules.

He said that under Package -2, some aspects related to land acquisition for Valbali and Cuplabanda were still pending and directed the authorities to solve them without further delay. To address any obstacle in this process, he advised the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials to closely coordinate with Tahsilders and RDOs to ensure that the works are completed as soon as possible.

The Collector also called for efforts to complete the Kadiri bypass road project soon and reviewed the progress of various works, including Kutagulla Rob, 716G Gorantala-Kothapalli and Gorantala-Hindpur (package number 42).

The meeting was attended by Nhai PD B Ashok Kumar, K Mallikrajun Rao, B Nagaraju, L. Sujath, Giddadya, Chillamathur Deputy Tehsildar Jagannath, ODC, and Bakkapatnam and Srivos of Kadiri, along with others.
