The deal was priced at Rs 29.34 crore with the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB), with a cost of Rs 1.7 crore per acre. This represents a significant investment in the state's industrial infrastructure and a step towards strengthening India's domestic aerospace capabilities.
According to the registered agreement shared by Propstack, the VEMGAL 1 is located strategically with the Kolar-Chikkabalpur Road (SH-96) in the VEMGAL 1 stage industrial area. This site is about 10 km from Narasapura and Jakkasandra industrial areas, within the 666 -acre industrial area developed by Kiadb.

The upcoming feature is expected to greatly promote the country's aircraft production capabilities, creating employment opportunities in the region,” a person said about development.
As a subsidiary of Tata Sons, TASL has played an important role in shaping India's aerospace landscape through cooperation with global defense giants such as Lockheed Martin and Boeing. The new plant in Vamgal is estimated to support India's defense aviation sector and increase the role of the country in the global aerospace supply chain.
Karnataka has become a favorite destination for rapid aerospace and defense investment, Bangalore is already serving as a major center for aviation and defense technology. The state government is actively promoting investment in high-value manufacturing areas by facilitating land allocation and development of industrial infrastructure through KIADB. With this acquisition, the TASL joined the growing list of companies leaving Karnataka's industrial ecosystem for advanced manufacturing. After land acquisition, TASL is expected to start construction soon, aims to accelerate India's indigenous aircraft production and defense manufacturing capabilities. The initiative is in line with the country's “Make in India” and “self -reliant India” programs, which emphasize self -sufficiency in important areas such as defense and aerospace. As the global demand for aerospace manufacturing increases, India's push TASL and other Indian firms to expand India's domestic capabilities as emerging players in the international market.
